Abstract

The Basic Mechanical Course has a duration of 2.5 days and an optimal class size of 8 trainees. The goal of this course is to instruct maintenance employees of Scout Motors on the basic techniques and skills necessary to navigate, troubleshoot, and comprehend mechanical systems in adherence to Scout Motors’ Standards

Learning Objectives

·       Tensioning techniques of belt and chain-driven systems

·       Identification of bearing types

·       Removal and replacement of bearings, gaskets, and seals

·       Inspect and diagnose common bearing failures
