Abstract

The Basic Electrical Course has a duration of 4 days and an optimal class size of 8 trainees. The goal of this course is to instruct maintenance employees of Scout Motors on the basic techniques and skills necessary to navigate, troubleshoot, and comprehend electrical systems in adherence to Scout Motors’ Standards

Learning Objectives

·       Identify components used in AC & DC circuits by sight & symbol

·       Construct, analyze & troubleshoot simple electrical circuits (both series & parallel)

·       Explain & apply Ohm’s Law

·       Explain & apply Power laws

·       Troubleshoot simple faults inserted into working circuits

·       Analyze AC waveforms to determine period, frequency & amplitude

·       Evaluation of covered topics
